Applications Engineer
Introduction:
Exa Corporation seeks fluid dynamicists to fill entry level to senior technical leadership positions. We are particularly interested in the areas of aerodynamics, aeroacoustics and heat transfer. These positions will be key links between our customers and Exa's product development team. Responsibilities:
As a Application Engineer (AE), you are a member of the sales team and can earn sales commissions. You will report directly to a regional Sales Manager or regional AE Manager depending on location. You must be customer-focused, very responsive, able to develop a strong level of trust with customers and know how to add value in a customer support situation. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential. The ability to work on multiple customer projects quickly and efficiently, leveraging internal resources at Exa, is very important. You will be responsible for providing pre-sales support to the sales team in the locally assigned region, and assist in other duties such as: pre-processing, administering, and post processing of customer benchmark cases, supporting the Lead AE’s with customer services projects and some post-sales customer support. You will interact with and support the technical team in other Exa offices as part of the global AE team.
Requirements:
- Strong problem-solving skills, ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment, strong desire to learn.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, good presentation skills.
- Fluent in French required.
- Strong organizational skills. Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with CAD, CAE applications, and geometry processing
- Experience with common CAD or Geometry Tools is a plus
- 1-2 years experience using CAE Tools and/or conducting experimental studies
- UNIX Skills, Script programming and experience with complex graphics tools
- BS or MS. in ME, CFD, Aerodynamics, Physics or equivalent.
- Solid knowledge of fluid dynamic fundamentals.
- Comfortable with direct customer interaction and working to support a team
- Willingness to travel
