Software QA Engineer - CAD/Geometry/Visualization

Role & Responsibilities:

Exa Corporation is seeking to fill the position of a Software QA Engineer with a person who is highly motivated, thorough and systematic. The job provides an opportunity to grow within the organization and interact with multiple departments on a regular basis. It also provides leadership responsibilities as it involves assigning and monitoring tasks given to QA Interns. The person should work well as an individual contributor as well as a team player.

In our Quality Assurance group, engineers contribute to the quality of our products by:

Monitoring and analyzing the results of automated regression suites
Creating additional boundary and new functionality tests as needed
Writing Test Plans and Test Cases to document testing procedures
Developing product expertise and ownership of product components
Interacting with Development and Product Management teams

Requirements:

BS or MS in Mechanical/Aeronautic Engineering or Computer Science
2-5 years of Software QA and/or Development experience
Comfortable working on UNIX and Windows platforms
Knowledge of UNIX shell scripting and/or other programming experience
Experience in the use of CAD/Geometry/Visualization Tools
Strong written and oral communication skills in English
Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills

Additional Skills & Experiences:

Programming in python
Experience working in a Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) environment
Finite Element Analysis experience
