Software Product Manager - Post-processing CAD/CAE/CFD or Visualization

Role & Responsibilities:

Exa Corporation is seeking a Product Manager for its Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) data visualization and analysis applications. This individual will be responsible for managing the evolution of sophisticated, high-end visualization and data management products that are a core part of Exa's unique CFD technology. Exa's products are used heavily in production environments around the world, making high-performance analysis and visualization an important component of our product portfolio.

As a Software Product Manager your primary responsibilities will include:

Lead the process of defining and updating the product road map based on input from both customers and Exa staff.
With other product management teams, collect customer input as required to define the product road map.
Communicate the road map both inside Exa and to customers.
Create specifications for product enhancements, and work with developers to drive the specification process to completion.
Understand and manage customer requirements, translating these into actionable product plans for implementation and verification of new products and features.
Participate in product quality reviews.
Own signoff authority on new software releases.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate should possess:

BS in Engineering, Mathematics, or similar discipline
Excellent software GUI design and development capabilities
5+ years experience using/managing/developing CAE visualization applications, especially for CFD
Good understanding of aerodynamics principles and applications
Strong, independent problem-solving skills
Excellent organizational skills, and the ability to apply them cooperatively with a motivated multinational development team
Solid verbal and written communication skills in English

Additional Skills & Experiences:

UNIX familiarity
Python script programming
3-D graphics programming experience (Open GL)
