Senior CFD Developer

Role & Responsibilities:

Exa Corporation is seeking a software developer with a strong background in scientific programming and object-oriented development in C++. This individual will be a key member of the team that develops the PowerFLOW simulator, which is a sophisticated parallel program that implements Exa's unique CFD (computational fluid dynamics) technology. The simulator is routinely used in production on parallel systems with hundreds of processors; as a result, parallelism is a constant theme as new features are added to the software.

The focus of this position will be on extensions to PowerFLOW to enable new application areas, parallel processing, performance analysis, load balancing, and the implementation of physics models and algorithms.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate should possess:

MS in Engineering or Computer Science.
5+ years experience developing software.
A strong background in designing/developing complex software systems.
Strong computer science background.
Experience with scientific programming.
Proficient in C and C++.
Experience with parallel processing.
Strong independent problem-solving skills.
Solid verbal and written communication skills.

Experience with one or more of the following would be considered a plus:

Experience with CFD software development.
Experience with numerical methods.
